Pamela Wittmann: Founder & Principal

Pamela brings a singular constellation of experience, expertise, and education to her clients. Born in Paris of an American father and French mother, Pamela is at home in both cultures. After studying Chemistry at the University of Paris, she pursued a more soulful application of her studies, researching at the enology laboratory of the Centre Vinicole de la Champagne, and obtaining a National Diploma of Enology from the University of Reims. American winemaking experience came by way of a position as assistant enologist at the Gloria Ferrer Champagne Cellars in Sonoma, CA, where Pamela successfully implemented a system to determine optimum grape harvesting dates.

After being hired in 1991 to represent a Champagne house in New York, she rose quickly through the ranks to become Area Manager for the label, where she handled sales management, public relations and trade education in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. She was honored when the brand invited her to become its first woman-winemaking assistant. In 1996, Pamela became the Export Brand Manager for the entire North American market.

Since then, Pamela has built her career in hospitality public relations in the US, working as Account Director at KB Network News before founding Millissime in early 2001. Since then, Millissime has helped dozens of wineries, wine regions, chefs, restaurateurs and food artisans build their reputation in the US.

Along with her role as Principal of Millissime, Pamela currently represents Château Phélan Ségur in the US. She is also the Grand Tabellion of the Compagnons du Beaujolais, Devoir de NY. A woman of many hats.
